The restaurant has a bar area, upstairs poolroom, and is known for its homemade beers that range from light ales to dark brews.

Homemade dough, fresh made sauces, and natural toppings add to the flavor of the pies. Zio's Pizzeria also has Neapolitan pies, like the zucchini supreme, and calzones with names like the Mini-Bronx, which features pepperoni, Canadian bacon, onions, and mushrooms. Daily specials include the Manhattan chicken melt and meatball hoagie, as well as salad options. The service is friendly and the ambience very casual.
